Jake finally got his elk mount! This is the one he killed in Oregon last September (2019). It looks really pretty on the big wall in front of our stairs!

Goodbye Georgia, Hello Alabama!
We closed on Friday, the 22nd. Loaded on Saturday, the 23rd. And drove off on Sunday, the 24th. Poor Jake has also driven the U-Haul truck on Sunday, rented a car to drive back to GA, then driven another U-Haul with heavy furniture (that we hired people to help him load and unload), back to AL, rental car back to GA, then drove his own truck to AL, worked all weekend unloading and getting the yard in shape, back to GA, and will come home again every weekend until July 17th, which is his last day at ABC. Whew! He's set to start at Westervelt on July 27th. Can't wait to have him here full time!

| Ordered Papa John's the last night! |

| Silly girl! |

| This was the morning we moved. They took a short walk in the neighborhood together and I think Hadley felt really big doing that :) |

| Bye 6810! |
| I told Collins to hurry and take this pic, and he made it just in time! |
| haha! He didn't bang my head this time like he did before! |
| Lunch and dessert from Mrs. Laura :) |
| Pooped! |
| Playing with neighbors...we're right beside five girls! Sisters Maddie and Courtney, and Stella, Mercer, and Julia. |
| We tell them to keep distance and they hear "sit right beside each other in the garage and work on your secret club notebook." So we banned them from the garage. Having a car there now helps a lot! |
| This was a day or so after Jake had gone back to GA for the first time. We ate outside on the front step. |
| I asked Hadley to get me a refill of water and she came back with this...added a piece honeydew melon! |
| I love that the neighborhood is small, back from the main road, and yet so convenient to town! |
| Playing in the rain! |
| Round two! |
| Julia and Collins at Mrs. Laura's house. |
| Helping Daddy in the yard last weekend. |
| He's worked so hard! |
| Looking good! Next weekend we hope to get some flowers and straw. |
| I got these counter stools and am really excited about them :) Not as excited about needing to replace the fridge already :( |
Goodbye Tour
We did socially-distanced goodbyes with our friends because we were still being very cautious about the Covid situation. We've had a harder time doing that in Alabama because the neighbor kids/parents here are not worried about it! I kind of wish now we had played more with friends in GA in the last few weeks/days. Then again, maybe that helped the goodbyes not be as hard. Everything with Covid is confusing and feels like we're in Wonderland.

| Caught lots of neighborhood friends together to say goodbye! Kristin, Keri, Krista, my two, Kyle, Finn, and Liam (Ethan and Knox had already walked ahead). |
![]() |
| Kyle was one of Collins' first friends! He came over every day for a while there :) |
![]() |
| Emma, Ann, and Evelyn. Emma was H's best friend :) |
![]() |
| Berkeley! |
![]() |
| Nolan, Charlotte, and Blaire. Loved them! |
![]() |
| John and Andrew...Bama fans! They were in our neighborhood too, but C never played much with Andrew because we figured it out too late. |
![]() |
| Jack! |
![]() |
| Jack's brother, Sam. |
![]() |
| Sweet Madeline and Savannah R.! Christine didn't let me get her picture. And I found out after we got home it was Christine's birthday that day! |
![]() |
| Aliannah, Collins' girlfriend. He gave her a bracelet he made! |
![]() |
| We went to Lucas' house to pick up Collins' baseball uniform that he never got to wear :( |
![]() |
| Until now, haha! |
![]() |
| I let him ride in the front. It makes me nervous, though, so he mostly rides in the back. Almost everything he does makes me nervous. |
![]() |
| Jadee and Jacob :) |
![]() |
| My sweet friend, Yan! |
![]() |
| Jackson :) |
![]() |
| Ayoti (spelling?) |
![]() |
| Jeannie and Kira. So sweet, both of them! |
![]() |
| Ayoti was at the playground, too. |
![]() |
| They were looking at the people at the pool, which had just opened that day I think. |

| Good memories in Dressage! |
