Birthday Sleepover and [More] Celebrating!

Collins asked to have Jace (friend/neighbor) spend the night for his birthday 'party.' Jake took them fishing early the next morning at Northwood Lake and Collins got to use his new fishing rod and reel from Grammy and Poppa! We gave him a little video camera thing, but I forgot to buy the SD card. Then I went to get one and didn't realize till I had opened it that I bought the wrong size. Finally got it Sunday or so, got it put in, and he hasn't touched it. Ha! He will, just been busy this week. I hope his 11th birthday was a memorable one!

It's stressful sometimes, but I just love making birthdays special for these babies!

Also part of their plan was to go around to the neighbors and ask if they could pull up weeds. Ms. Tammy across the street let them! She was grateful for the work and she paid them a total of $10 :) Jake said when he drove up and saw them out there Collins told him, "Daddy, I'll give you this $10 if you do the rest." haha!

They were not expecting Jake to fish (out-fish) them...they thought he was just their driver!

New backpack (and goodies inside) from MawMaw and PawPaw! Haylee, Jon, and Chance gave him some money. Blessed boy!

Sour salts!

Hey Coach

Last Thursday Jake arranged for us to go to Baumhower's Wings for dinner where they do the weekly "Hey Coach" Nick Saban radio show! Jake had to go early in the morning and set out a chair, then go at 10am and get in line for our names to be on the list, and then we got to the restaurant early. It was all worth it because we had the best seat in the house, especially Collins!

The kids were so surprised. Coach said "hey guys" to us as he walked past us on the way from speaking to the UA golf team that was seated behind us. And a lady from Jake's gym works in Athletics and was able to grab one of the few pictures Coach Saban signed that night and gave it to Collins! Hadley got a Bama puppy on the way out (from a table the Bear Bryant Museum had set up...clever! haha!)

Eli Gold!

She tried to give him a fist bump, but he didn't see her. Or maybe just didn't want to, haha!

Collins' 11th Birthday

Wow. Eleven. That is awfully close to a you-know-what! Collins had a great day aside from being recognized on the intercom at school, ha! He is fun to make a fuss over because he's such a sweet baby boy :)

He got cards from lots of family: Aunt Tammy and Uncle Joe, Nanny and Aunt Janis, Maw, MawMaw and PawPaw, and Granny!

Dinner at Chuck's because he wanted sushi!
