- "See my belly hole?" (belly button)
- "There's snow on my balcony!"
- "We have the power to change the story." (Taken from a TV show called Super Why.)
- "Mommy, you saved the day!" (Taken from same TV show.)
- One night I was lying in bed with him and he was playing with my hair, dangling it in my face. I huffed or did something that indicated frustration. Collins said, "Don't be mad, Sweetie." I calmly said, "Collins, that makes me very frustrated because it tickles. Please do not do that any more." He gently stroked my face and said, "That's still mad, Sweetheart."
- He woke me up one Saturday morning and it was much later than I felt like it was. I mumbled, "What time is it?" He answered, "Five o'clock in da morning." Lucky for him, it was more like eight o'clock.
- Referring to something in the bathtub: "That's wet as a jay bird!"
- Collins got a progress report sent home recently. He is doing great in all developmental areas (except separating from parent easily). We looked over it together, then he wanted to read it by himself. He got on the floor to read, then turned to me and noted, "This book needs more pictures."
- Claims to be growing from "all doze hiccups!"
- While he was sick I didn't force him to brush his teeth, even though it almost drove me nuts. He was on the couch with me one night and I told him, "Your breath stinks; why don't you go brush your teeth?" He moved to the chair and said, "Now you can't smell it." Problem solved (?)
- I asked him one night: "Collins, is it 'on and off' or 'off and on'?" I kind of expected it to throw him, but of course not. He said, "Off-n-off-n-off-n-on."
- He likes to play "Bad Guys" and "chop people" with spears. He makes me use a "wind shield," but he doesn't need one.
- Tells his daddy, "Daddy, we are work men!"
- He noticed the ducks mounted at Cypress Inn on Sunday. He said, "Look! They have aminals in here! Can you understand that?!"
- I was talking this morning and apparently said, "That's the whole point" about something. He followed up, "Mommy, what's the whole point?"
- The boy argues. Not necessarily in a mean way. In a matter of fact way. He told me this morning he wanted to go to church instead of preschool. I told him church was closed. He confidently said, "No, it's not." And we argued about it for a good five minutes. He thinks we're idiots.
- He has the best appetite of any three-year-old I've ever seen. He loves fried eggs and breakfast casserole with Chulula hot sauce; ate a raw oyster on a cracker (but didn't like it); loves edamame; eats radishes, cucumbers, tomatoes, really any veggie other than potatoes; loves lemons, pickles, and other "tart" things; drinks coffee (my coffee...to be fair, it's more like dessert); likes seafood; will try just about anything at least once. I guess this means Hadley will be a chicken nugget kid.
- Collins has to complete sentences for me and his daddy and his grammy. All the time.
- Loves, loves, loves his baby sister! And she loves him, too. It is precious to watch them together!

Hadley's Baby Dedication
We had baby dedication at Five Points this morning! It went really
well. We were on time, dressed, and it wasn't even that dramatic of a
morning.
I am so happy and proud that Hadley was able to wear the dress Granny made! One more month and it probably wouldn't have worked out. Very special that it did :)
We wish Grammy and Poppa had been able to come, but neither of them feel well right now and Grammy is running fever. :(
Collins behaved so well on stage! So did Hadley; only a tiny bit of talking on her part!
We went to Cypress Inn afterward to eat lunch. It was delicious as always.
Except I fed Hadley an expired ready-to-feed bottle of formula because I didn't check the date. Had to call Poison Control when we got home. She's fine, I'm just a terrible mother. Dedicated her to Jesus and then immediately tried to give her over to Him...geez.
