Five Points Fun

Our church has been busy focusing on kids/families lately! On Sunday night we had family style worship, then ate Taco Casa in the gym and played outside. They brought a huge video game truck that could accommodate 28 players at once! And the Tumblebus came, too. Our kids loved it!

On Wednesday night was the Summer Kickoff (originally planned in May, but got rained out). Jake had to pack for a last minute trip to Tampa, but the kids and I went and they, again, loved it! We had hotdogs first, then played on water slides, carnival rides, ate snow cones, won prizes...it was fabulous!

Sunday night they asked families to come down and pray together. I thought it was sweet and was glad someone took a picture!

This photo starts the Summer Kickoff pics.

Go Collins Go!

Hadley and Barrett, a friend from church and preschool!

She went down the slide once, but mostly used the stairs to avoid getting water sprinkled on her face/head!

Hadley's Stay at Children's

Hadley had a couple of procedures done at Children's Hospital in Birmingham last Wednesday and Thursday. We had to be there very early, so Nana and Papa Joe helped us get Collins to day camp (thank you!) She had a scope and pH probe, and the probe is the reason for the overnight stay (to monitor for 24 hours). She did not love that tube being in her nose/throat, but got somewhat used to it and was a great patient. We are awaiting results to see if we need to do anything differently about her reflux.

Just getting checked in...loving on Daddy.

About to stroll down the hallway and into the OR.

Right after the procedure, before we even got in this room, a nurse made her so mad because she had to move the tape on her face/back :( Same nurse had to take it off the next day, too. Tough job!

Finally resting. Sweet baby!

We had a great view!

We loved the activity room, specifically for kids around her age. There were three or four age appropriate activity rooms, going up to a teen room with video games and such.

Playing with her happies from Mrs. Amanda Ingram (my co-worker and friend)!

Hadley liked that little window ledge.

We watched the sun set and talked about that little wagon out there in the rooftop parking deck. Ha! Then had supper and watched movies. H's first time to see Aladdin and she loved it!

Being silly!

The next morning...sitting in my 'bed.' I put a little make-up on her at her request :)

The Miss Alabama contestants were there, and we got to see Chandler Shields! She's a UA student and I actually gave her a mock interview once to help her prepare for Capstone Men and Women interviews!

Asleep on the ride home (meaning, no nap once we got home). Love this sweet baby girl!

Fun Weekend with Grammy

The kids stayed with M&P the first part of the week a few weeks ago (when preschool was closed and kindergarten was over), and the second part of the week with G&P. On Friday, Grammy brought them home and spent the weekend with us. Jake and I missed them so much!

Started off the weekend at Jalapeno's!

Surprised face!

They were excited to get to sleep together so that Grammy could sleep in Hadley's bed.

Collins and I went to Connor's birthday party at Bricks for Kids on Saturday morning.

Crazy boy!

But so sweet, too :)

On Saturday evening, Hadley and I went to Julia and Annie's birthday party at Julia's house.

ha ha!

So proud of her for going on that big slide! (over and over and over)

I love this one!

After the party; looking at end of the year scrapbooks from school.

Daddy cooked the fish that Collins caught earlier in the week! Sweet Grammy cleaned them for him :)

Hadley snuggling with Grammy Sunday morning.

At the Front Porch after church. They all look sad, but weren't!
