Tooth Fairy!

Collins lost his first tooth on Monday, July 27th! It happened at lunch time at school. He said he was moving it with the palm of his hand and pulled down on it, and it popped right out!

The tooth fairy came that night, of course. Collins was excited for her visit and didn't want a book or story that night...just hurry and go to sleep! She had planned to leave a crisp $1 bill, but realized Collins' daddy thought a $5 bill was better for the first tooth.

Collins came in to the living room the next morning with a nose bleed and tears. He couldn't find any "coins." I reassured him that the money was probably there, but that it was dark and his pillow fell off his bed, and so it was probably just on the floor. By the time he got in there not only did he find the $5 but also "a round thing" (a quarter)!

So, in case you're wondering, the going rate for a first tooth these days is $5.25 ;)

My view when I walked into the gym to get him that day!

We discussed a plan to walk in and just ask Daddy, "How was your day?" to see if he would notice. He did :)

Getting ready for bed!

This is the pillow Aunt Haylee gave him for his first birthday or Christmas or something. I should remember better!

Woo hoo! $5.25!

We went shopping later that day so he could spend his money. I spotted him a little, but he is happy with his toy from CVS!

P.S. It really seems like those teeth just came in...
