V-Day Dates with Our Sweethearts

I think we just started a new tradition! Jake and I took the kids on two separate dates last night and we all had a great time. Collins chose Hokkaido because of the fire, and Jake chose Five for Hadley because of the pretty lights. We did not give the option of McDonald's or the like! ;)

Hadley felt absolutely beautiful in her dress, and she looked it too. She wore the cross necklace Jake gave her when she was a baby. The dress is a size 5, but luckily didn't swallow her whole.

Collins 'allowed' me to wear jeans instead of a dress since we were going to a casual place. He said he'd love me no matter what :) He and Jake got roses for us before we left. Sweet boys!

Jake said it was like being on a date with me when she said she was cold and asked for his jacket. Ha! He asked the people to turn off the fan and they did. He said she also told the waitress, "Y'all play some good music in here!" and could not resist the urge to dance in her seat!

Such a nut.

They don't actually have desserts at Five, but pulled some strings :)

Collins loved the soup and tried some sushi! He only wanted one piece, but a good start :)

I can't believe this picture isn't more blurry because I was mid-jump! Collins did really well with his chopsticks! He tried so hard to catch a piece of shrimp in his mouth when the cook threw it to him, but we both missed. Next time!

Sweet boy and his daddy had arranged for him to pay for our dinner. This was a big surprise for me that he almost told me about three different times.

He was so excited to pump :)

They beat us home...silly girl!

Duck Hunting

I think it was the last weekend in January (or there about) that Mr. Robert invited Jake, Chad, and Jeremy to go duck hunting at his farm with each of their sons. They all had a great time, and Collins is now hooked :)

Bobcat

Jake and Collins went hunting last weekend to wrap up the season, and both of them said it was the best hunting day ever! They saw turkeys, a spike, an owl, crows...everything but a hog Jake said! The best part was that they saw and shot a huge bobcat. We are getting it mounted and Collins will keep it in his room first, then in the office. Collins thinks it's going to go back and forth forever. We shall see. I just know it's not going in my room! Haha!

100th Day of School

Collins celebrated his 100th day of kindergarten yesterday! He was a little shy about dressing up, so I don't know if he sported more than the suspenders once at school, but looked cute at least for a picture. He also took 100 pennies as his 'project.' He brought home a little handmade/illustrated book yesterday that said if he had 100 dollars, he'd buy a: car; he wishes he had: 100 money; he's glad he doesn't have 100: God (only one God); and he could eat 100: fish!

Baby Bennett

Hadley and I got to visit a new baby this week! We took dinner to her teacher, Mrs. Megan, and got to see and hold little Bennett while there. Had was so excited, but once there was slightly more interested in the cat! She did say she was cute, though; especially "her widdle hands"!

Hunting

Jake took Collins hunting last weekend and they actually saw some deer! And crows. Ha. Jake said Collins locked eyes with a deer once and told Jake, "Daddy...he's staring me down...I need to blink." Sweet boy! He gets so excited and was really disappointed that they couldn't shoot the six point (I think it was a six point) per the club rules. Maybe soon!

Big Girl Bed

Well...kinda big girl. Jake took off the front panel of Hadley's baby bed, and so far she's doing great! She has the promise of getting new sheets and covers if she can keep doing a good job and not playing when she's supposed to be sleeping. She turns on her fish light she got for Christmas from G&P and leaves it on all night. But she sleeps and it isn't getting hot, so whatever works.

So excited to see this surprise! (Excuse the awful stained carpet.)

She was actually jumping and squealing here!
