Five Points Fall Festival

The fall festival at our church was on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. I took off a little early and we met Jake at Chick-fil-A for dinner. They provided dinner at church, but it was hot dogs and we had just had that the night before, so CFA it was!

He almost broke the pole! Actually, he did knock over something behind the curtain.

Hard game!

Collins thought the object of this game was to send the frog to the balcony instead of lily pad.

She thought the object of the game was to smash the frog. So she did.

Our friends, Annie and Kristen!

Hadley bends the rules a little.

Sneaky eyes!

Back for more!

Why worry with a club when you can toss it in?

Mrs. Cally, our wonderful children's director!

Reflecting on the evening ;)

Brookdale

Lately, the kids have started doing some ministry outings now that they're old enough. I asked a couple of leaders at church for ideas and they suggested visiting the residents at Brookdale, an assisted living facility near our house. It was the right choice! Both kids seem to enjoy visiting and it's easy to do because the people are so sweet. I thought about trying to organize or lead an activity, but it seems to work just fine simply showing up to visit.

MawMaw went with us the first time we went, which was before Halloween. Last weekend Grammy went with us. Is it possible we're discreetly introducing them to their future home???.... ;)

Handing out suckers!

Letting someone hold her baby is a big deal!

Collins taking a ride!

This is Mrs. Eva, a member of our church. Her daughter, Sharon, is also a member. They were moving Mrs. Eva to a nursing home that morning :(

Lunch at Cypress Inn after our visit and a trip to the playground!

Feeding the fish.

Collins beat us back up the stairs when we were leaving. I walked in and found him sitting at the bar. He's actually looking at the fish tank, for the record!

Hadley poking at her ear. Like always.

This sweet lady reminded Grammy of her mama, Mamaw.

The Care Associates recommended we come to the Memory Care part of the building. They love kids!

Hadley wouldn't talk much at first, but she'll flip for ya!

So proud of my big girl!

What a blessing. For all of us!
