Collins has had several t-ball practices and is about to have his third game and I am (shamefully) just now posting about it. Below are pictures from his first two games. He plays for the 3-4 year old Indians! They lost the first game (by about 10 points), but won the second!
Collins has improved a lot since first starting, too. He plays pitcher, even though no one pitches :) He's gotten a lot better at grounding the ball. At first he seemed to think he had to stay in his one spot instead of move to get the ball, but is doing much better at going after it now. He's still getting used to that mask and chest protector he has to wear as pitcher. He actually got the game ball last week from Coach Ryland! Coach said Collins made some good plays and listened well, so we were very proud.
Grammy and Poppa were at the first game and MawMaw and PawPaw came to the second one. Nana and Papa Joe have made it to both so far :) I didn't get any pics of G&P at the first game...I blame the fact that I had been so sick from the stomach virus and was about to fall out from being so weak!
Jake is helping coach because they kept asking for volunteers. At first he was going to wait and help out next year or later, but decided he needed to help. I think he's glad; he and Collins have both enjoyed it!
I can't believe we are already at the point where our weekends are spent at the ball field...how did that happen so quickly?!
