It finally hatched or emerged or whatever you call it. Thankfully, Jake heard it making noise and we didn't have to go through the torment of it landing on our faces in the middle of the night. Can you imagine?!
Once Jake got Collins and me to come in the kitchen to see it, the moth had already flown out of the cage and was loose in our house somewhere. I spotted it on the window and Jake caught it, then he and Collins let it go outside. It sat still for a long time, then rocketed up and landed on our neighbor's tree across the street. It is now a free moth. Thank goodness.

Then...when Collins stayed with Nana and Papa Joe last week, he caught a frog. Nana sent me a text telling me he had caught one, but I wasn't expecting it to come home with us. It did.
We talked to Collins about what to expect if he kept the frog versus turning it loose. He decided to let it go in the backyard. For about five seconds. Then he caught it again and kept it in the box the rest of the night.
When we woke up the next morning it was dead of course. Jake and I thought Collins might be upset, but he wasn't. He said, "He'll come back in the summer."
Have you seen the movie Frozen? Apparently, we have seen it a little too much!
Oh and guess what he named the frog. Casey Dan (?!?!)
